    I\u2019d be lying if I said cloud computing was all rainbows and backups. There are a few things you should know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You need the internet.<\/strong> No connection, no access to your cloud files. That\u2019s why most apps let you save some files \u201coffline\u201d \u2013 basically a copy on your device for when the Wi-Fi dies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Privacy concerns are real.<\/strong> When you put data in the cloud, you\u2019re trusting a company to not peek at it or lose it. Most big providers encrypt your data (scramble it so only you can read it), but still \u2013 don\u2019t upload your passwords or naked photos. Use common sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Monthly fees add up.<\/strong> Free tiers are generous, but if you need 2TB of storage, you\u2019ll pay around $10\u201315 per month. That\u2019s cheap compared to buying external hard drives, but it\u2019s still a recurring cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
